Jason is the Senior Technical Sales Manager and a true problem-solver. He’s the go-to guy for belt-related issues, always figuring out the ‘why’ and crafting solutions to make things better and stronger so they last longer. “The boss prides himself on that too – a solution that will last longer.”

“Initially Applied used to change belts every one or two months. Now it’s every three years.” And that’s because of Jason and the team’s knowledge and quality products.

With 26 years of experience in the industry, Jason’s journey began as a belt splicer in 2007. He quickly moved up the ladder, becoming a workshop manager and the Technical Sales Manager. He gained valuable experience in South Africa’s heavy mining industry, dealing with massive belts and even bigger problems. You basically needed cranes for everything. Jason has also worked a bit in the food industry, which he found much more laid back than the quarry’s crane-demanding challenges.
